New Forest Mummers
with Celia Burgess and Jo Kane
from HOPe New Forest

We are dedicated to supporting older people in the community, particularly those who are isolated or vulnerable.

Our central aim is to improve the quality of life for thousands of people locally, helping them to retain their independence safely and with dignity and to get the most out of life. We also promote the role of older people as active citizens.

To achieve our aims, we work with other charities and organisations, not in competition with them.

Our income is used entirely in the local community. Please help our work with your donations. Cheques can be made payable to:

Helping Older People New Forest

and we operate a Gift Aid scheme.

HOPe  is in need of further Trustees, for whom training will be provided.

Meetings are held quarterly but support for fundraising events is expected.

The present Board has a good range of skills
but someone with legal experience would be an asset.

In the first instance, interested parties should contact Margaret Clarke.

Rob Brown from HOPe.

HOPe was able to access funding in 2014-15 from Healthwatch Hampshire for a survey of local peoples' experience of health and social care, particularly those in the older age groups. We think it would be valuable to continue this survey in 2015-16 and would be interested to hear from members of the community about good and not-so-good practices in GP surgeries, hospitals, other health services and adult care services.

We promise that what you tell us will remain anonymous but we would like as much detail as you can give, together with your age group, ethnicity and Postcode.

Please contact us by email at enquiries@hopenewforest.org , telephone 01425 629009 or you can contact Healthwatch Hampshire direct either via their website or by telephone on 01962 857370.

We at HOPe have worked well with Healthwatch Hampshire staff and believe that by working together with local people, we can really help to improve our health and care services.
