We need your help!
Despite the immense difference we make to the wellbeing of older people across the New Forest, we receive no statutory funding from national or local government, or the NHS. In addition to our fundraising efforts, we rely on generous donations from you to provide our vital Befriending and Support services.
Do you have unwanted items and don’t know what to do with them? Declutter and donate them to HOPe, and we will sell them in our charity shops. Everything we sell helps raise funds for our charity, enabling us to provide free Befriending and Support services.
You can drop off your donations at either of our shops. Although we are grateful for all donations, our staff may politely decline your donation if we do not have space in our stockroom or if the item is something we cannot sell. Please check the list of items we accept below before donating to us. Please drop off your donations when our shops are open and a staff member is available to receive them. Donations left outside when our shops are closed are likely to get ruined or stolen.
If you are unsure about donating certain items or have a large number of items to donate, contact your local shop beforehand. Staff will be able to confirm that they can accept your items and have space to receive them. If we are unable to take your items for any reason, you may find alternative options at Recycle Now or Recycle Your Electricals.

Please keep in mind that donating unsuitable items costs us money, as we must pay to dispose of them - money that we would much rather spend on helping older people!
We are particularly grateful for any collectables you may have, such as model cars, trains, or stamps, where we are often able to maximise the value of your donation by selling them online.
Unable to bring your collectables to one of our shops? We’re happy to pick them up from your home if you live near one of our shops, or we may consider paying postage to get them to us.
Contact us to discuss your collectable donations - our team will be happy to help.
Regular donations, even small amounts, help to provide ongoing Befriending and Support to older people living in the New Forest who have nowhere else to turn.
You can donate online via PayPal or in person at one of our shops. We’re truly grateful for every donation we receive.
If you are a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you donate, we can claim an extra 25p from the government. Simply give us a few details and we’ll take care of the rest - it won’t cost you a penny! Find out more about how you can boost your donations with Gift Aid.
